Once Upon a Pencil
(3rd – 4th grade)

Whether students are inventing a heroic myth or retelling a clever fable, this enchanting writing course invites third and fourth grade learners to explore timeless tales while building their writing skills through eloquent, expressive writing. Using classic stories as source texts, students will discover how structure and creativity work hand in hand as they practice techniques like note-taking, vocabulary development, story retelling, summarizing references, and writing multi-paragraph reports.

The Writing Quest
(5th – 7th grade)

Fifth through seventh grade students will journey through tales of knights, Vikings, and legendary rulers of the Middle Ages while learning to craft outlines, as well as organized and eloquently rich stories, essays, narratives, and critiques. Each lesson will build writing skills through engaging source texts, vocabulary development, stylistic techniques, and creative assignments.

Ink and Impact: Writing the Modern World
(7th – 8th grade)

Seventh and eighth grade students are invited to explore the pivotal events, influential people, and cultural shifts of the modern era — all while mastering essential writing skills. Using curated source texts drawn from world history, they will learn to write with clarity, organization, and flair. Learners will practice techniques like note-taking, vocabulary development, summarizing references, story writing, as well as crafting essays, narratives, and formal critiques.

Writing Essentials: Outline to Analysis
(9th – 10th grade)

Designed to strengthen writing fluency and critical thinking, this introductory high school writing course blends organization with creativity, helping ninth and tenth grade students express themselves through structured, eloquent writing — whether they are crafting a story or presenting a formal analysis. Students will learn how to create outlines and effectively summarize from references and stories. They will compose essays, narratives, and critiques with clarity and confidence.
